2013 toyota camry - The name “Camry” in Japanese means crown. Toyota stuck to the crown naming tradition on its other sedans Corona and Corolla which mean crown in other languages. The Toyota Crown sedan was one another vehicle sold back in the 90s.

Returning back to the 2013 Camry, the Sonata YF is arguably the best looking vehicle in its segment. Honda and Toyota are still running with slightly outdated cars despite recent mild makeovers. It is common sense for 2013 toyota camry to build on the Camry’s existing strengths – space, comfort, refinement and features. If it has to be on par with the competition, the styling has to be transformed. Toyota will continue offering the range of petrol engines along with the gas-electric option.

It will be interesting to see if the 2013 Camry range is complete with a plugin-electric powertrain sourced from Tesla.

Toyota to Boost Hybrid Battery Capacity by 10%, Nikkei Says

June 13 (Bloomberg) -- Toyota Motor Corp. will boost hybrid battery production capacity as much 10 percent over earlier plans next year as orders for its Prius model rise, the Nikkei newspaper said.Toyota to Boost Hybrid Battery Capacity by 10%, Nikkei Says

The automaker aims to increase manufacturing capacity to 1.1 million nickel-metal hydride cells in 2010, the paper said, without saying where it got the information.

Toyota originally planned to boost production capacity by 300,000 batteries from 700,000 a year, the report said. Panasonic EV Energy Co., owned by Toyota and Panasonic Corp., will make the batteries, the paper said.

Toyota increased output of the Prius in Japan this month as orders rose 75 percent since the hybrid went on sale in May.
